STEM Project: What does it mean to be “Green?”

Project Idea:
Students will choose a product that has been coined with one of the therms above and conduct research and analysis on whether it actually is "green." Students will also compare the product with its competitors. Products can vary from detergents to shampoos to cleaning products. Students will need to research methods and create one to prove to their reasoning.
Students will:
1. explain the purpose and use of the product
2. include relevant chemical reactions
3. create a method to use to determine the effectiveness of the product
4. compare the product with other brands
